Rivertop Renewables Expands Team to Support Commercialization


AFTER A SUCCESSFUL INVESTMENT ROUND, RIVERTOP HIRES ELEVEN NEW EMPLOYEES IN SIX MONTHS

(November 13, 2014) MISSOULA, Mont. — Rivertop Renewables, a Montana-based producer of novel chemicals, has expanded its team by more than 50 percent after hiring 11 new staff members over the past six months. This followed a successful $26 million investment from Cargill, First Green Partners and existing investors. The new hires come as Rivertop prepares to begin commercial production of its glucaric acid-based products for consumer and industrial markets.

The new hires are spread across multiple departments of the company and are emblematic of the company’s evolution from research and development into a commercial production phase. The newest employees include:

  • Bill Pfeffer, Director of Analytical Chemistry 
  • Debbie Mitchell, Human Resources Manager
  • Travis Eck, Business Analyst
  • Caitlin Frisbie, Office Coordinator
  • JW Robinson, Research Assistant
  • Sam Hall, Lab Technician 
  • Greg Koniges, Lab Technician
  • Rebecca Singleton, Chemistry Intern
  • Sean Connors, Finance Intern

Eight of the new hires come from Montana, while three come from out of state.
